The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Sri Sunflower College of Engineering and Technology is renowned for imparting state of the art education as part of the institute whose mission is to impart futuristic and comprehensive professional education of global standards with a high sense of discipline. The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established with the inception of the institution in 2005 with an intake of 60 B.Tech Students and was enhanced to 120 students in year 2007.The two year M.Tech course has been started in 2009 with Computer Science and Engineering as specialization with an intake of 18 students. The Department of CSE in Sunflower, with its cohesive team of faculty members, imparts education to bachelors (B.Tech – Computer Science Engineering), Masters (M.Tech – Computer Science Engineering) and doctoral candidates in its discipline. We update our self regularly to keep up with the growing demands and changing trends of the software industry and the research laboratories. It also provides an outstanding research environment complemented by superior teaching for its students to flourish in.The Department regularly organizes seminars, workshops, and guest lecturers for the students. Faculty Development Programs(FDP) are organized for faculty to promote high standards in technical education.
The teaching staff members are dedicated and determined to learn new things and never hesitate to give their best all the time. Department has 3 computer centers for UG students, 1 exclusive center for P.G students and 1 Elite Research and Development center apart from labs provided for other branches. All the computers in computer centers are connected via LAN. The department enforced association with professional societies like IEEE, CSI, INTEL etc.

Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
PO2: Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
